Set against an expansive natural backdrop, this project transforms the property into a private retreat centred around a dramatic infinity-edge pool. The design takes full advantage of the elevated setting, creating a seamless visual connection between the water, surrounding forest and distant horizon.
The goal was to create a pool environment that felt integrated into the landscape rather than simply placed within it. Clean architectural lines, natural materials and an uninterrupted infinity edge allow the surrounding scenery to become part of the experience.
Every major design decision works to preserve the open sightlines across the property. The pool sits naturally along the edge of the landscape, allowing swimmers and guests to look beyond the water toward the surrounding hills and forest.
The infinity edge creates the illusion that the pool continues directly into the landscape, producing a clean, dramatic finish that makes the view the focal point.
The property's elevation gives the pool a distinctive sense of openness and privacy while allowing the surrounding natural scenery to become an integral part of the outdoor space.
Large-format stone around the pool creates a durable, refined surface while complementing the natural character of the property.
A warm wood deck introduces contrast against the surrounding stone and provides a comfortable dedicated area for lounging beside the pool.
Surrounded by mature trees and open views, the finished space feels secluded and peaceful while still offering ample room for entertaining and relaxation.
The strongest feature of this project is how naturally the pool fits within its surroundings. Rather than competing with the view, the design frames it. The restrained palette, open waterline, surrounding stone and wood elements work together to create an outdoor environment that feels intentional, calm and connected to the property.
